Department of International Trade



Under the stress of business globalization, the demand for international trading personnel is increasing tremendously.  Therefore, we are now offering an International Trade program aimed at training students to become international business professionals.  In addition to theoretical and practical International Business knowledge, students in this program will also be given up-to-date on-hand computer training and intensive foreign language courses to meet the urgent needs of domestic business.  The major objectives of this program are

1.          Educating students with fundamental concepts and practices in business, management, finance, and marketing from the international aspect.

2.          Enhancing students with language competency and computer techniques, training students to be the future elites in the international markets.

3.          Assisting students in obtaining national certifications, making them competitive in professional and technical application.

4.          Consolidating academic concepts and on-hand practice through research studying and ex-curriculum aid system.

5.          Assisting students in obtaining advanced education and national certifications.

This program offers students the following courses under the atmosphere of teamwork cooperation and business ethics:

1.          International Trade and e-Commerce:

Practice of International Trade, Letter of Credit, Automation of Trading Procedure, International Business Management, e-Commerce, Internet Marketing.

2.          Information software application:

Chinese/English Word Processing, PC software packaged application (MS Office, Internet)

3.          Financial Investment:

Investment, Financial Management, Features and Options, Insurance, etc.

4.          Foreign Language:

Business English, English Conversation, Fundamental Japanese, etc.


Faculty and Staffs

Each of our faculties holds an MBA degree from prominent domestic or US. Business schools, specializing in International Business, Finance, Accounting, or General management.  Certificated lecturers with professional computer or language teaching experience are recruited for IT and language training courses.


National Certifications

In addition to academic courses, we also assist our students in obtaining national certifications that are commendatory for both academic and professional use.

1.          Chinese/English Word Processing: basic word processing skills. Students will reach 30-word-input per minute expectantly.

2.          Intermediate National Accountant license- basic requirement in accounting field and will be a plus for advanced studying admission.

3.          Intermediate Computer Software Application: basic PC application and knowledge; will be a plus for advanced studying admission.

4.          Advanced tests for National Accountant and Computer Software Application, and Word Processing, TQC, and GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) are highly recommended for students who have special interests in relative job fields.


Advanced Studying and Future Careers

1.          Students graduated from this program are urged to get advanced studying in 2-year senior colleges or transfer to 4-year universities in relevant business categories as International Trading, International Business, Business Administration, Finance, Information Management, Insurance, Economics, Accounting, or Financial Policy, etc.

2.          Private organizations: Students intended to go for careers would have competitive advantages after this program to work in trading, transportation, multinational or foreign companies, financial institutions, insurance agencies, and travel agencies.

3.          Public organizations: After this intensive program, students who do not desire to further study or work for private companies would have choice to take exams for public positions.
